Framebuffer unsupported

I'm trying to do a render to texture program using GLSL, and one dimensional textures. I've done pretty much the exact same program using two dimensional textures, but wanted to test the performance problems doing it this way. Unfortunately, after I changed the code to allow for single dimensional textures, I get GL_FRAMEBUFFER_UNSUPPORTED_EXT from a call to glCheckFramebufferStatusEXT(). I can't find any documentation online as to how to potentially fix this problem, or wat could be causing it. Any help?
