MP3 files with Allegro

This thread over on the forum at allegro.cc has several recommendations. Among them AllegroMP3, which only appears to be distributed in a Dev Pack for Dev-Cpp,
and just using the FMOD library (easiest). The real problem is the licensing issues that go with MP3.

Dev Packs are just BZipped, you should be able to extract the necessary libraries etc just by changing the extension and using something IZArc that can extract bzip archives. The the results will likely only work with GCC ports like MinGW or Cygwin. Of course I guess you could create a compatible library from the DLL.

A link to AllegroMP3 its up on allegro.cc however don't think its working. Personally I would just use FMOD unless you have problems with the license or you could try audiere
