LOD bug

Hello, I don't know if this is the right spot to post this but there was a similar post on LODs here. i was just wondering if anyone has had and LOD bug where there are three LOD for each model, and the high level and low level work perfectly but medium LOD is missing his/her hair. We are using 3Ds Max for the artist, programming with visual studios and using gamebryo 2.3. the head is separate from the hair piece but why would it work for high and low but not medium?!? Please if you have any insight as to fix this please let me know... Thanks
