Help backing up programming data to DVD
Hello!
Sorry this isn't a direct programming question, but it's definitely related to my programming code... I gotta get it backed up!
I'm trying to get my programming backed up to DVD, but Windows XP will not copy to DVD disks. It will copy to CD just fine by simply dragging and dropping folders to the CD drive, but I can't do the same with my new DVD drive. I'm a starving coder, so I'm looking for something along the lines of freebie.
I tried ISO Recorder program, but I found out later after installing it that it wouldn't copy to DVD either unless I'm running Windows Vista. I'm gonna stick with XP for backwards compatibility reasons, so would any of you suggest how I can get my programming backed up to DVD on the cheap?
Thanks in advance for the help! [smile]
Thanks for the info, Sneftel! I did a little research and don't really like the idea of an adware toolbar being forcibly installed on my system with this software, especially if that toolbar could render my internet browser useless. I found this out from this web resource:
Jake Ludington - Burned By Burn4Free
But I did find a couple of links to supposedly safer freebie DVD recording software packages at the end of the above article. I'm especially interested in that DeepBurner software, which is supposed to have a freeware version available. I'll do a little more research and let you know which works better for me.
Thanks again!

I can't really speak to that. I have Burn4Free installed and I didn't get anything like "NavExcel" as part of the deal, so perhaps that's a more recent thing.
