Hiya, Does anyone know how to 'embed' information such as a version number or description into a DLL when it's linked? It would be very useful to see this information in Windows explorer (where it shows up as grey writing under the filename), so I can check I'm using the correct library version. I think a copy of MSVB6 I used to have could do this, but I'm not sure about MVSC2005... Many thanks for any help! [smile]

Go to the Solution Explorer, add a new Resource or a new Item of type Resource File (.rc) and then Add Resource of type Version.
