Two quick simple questions.

I just read the "Advanced Character Physics" about using Verlet and particle-lines for physics. I'm wanting to create a strictly 2D game, and the tutorial seemed like a really good fit. (1) The first problem is the "collision detection" routine he doesn't explain in the article. I know how to determine if two lines intersect, but I'm not sure how to determine when two moving lines intersected in time. Any explanations or links for this? (2) The second question deals with collision response. Given two moving lines of different masses, I can't quickly imagine how to figure out how much to move each of the lines. Ex: the "lighter" line "bouncing" away with more force than the "heavier" line. Any explanations or links for this? Perhaps there is a "better" way for what I'm after? Thanks, - Jeremiah
