Please take a look on this sketch i made: http://www.geocities.com/a_hillel/Q1.GIF - I have a player + 4 objects. How can i be sure, that the object that is in the "eye-view" of the player, is realy the true one, and not the opposites? Till now I've been trying to find an answer using Tangens of player's angle. Does anyone has an idea?

Use the dot product: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dot_product.

If the vectors to the object and the player vector are normalized it is just the cosine of the angle between those vectors. Check out the geometric interpretation section at Wikipedia. Hope that helps.
