Calculate Look at vector

I've been working on a terrain demo for some time now, and have implemented quadtree and CLOD, now im trying to implement View frustum culling, however i need the cameras Look at vector, i dont really know how to calculate it, at the moment my camera class uses a vector to store position and a vector to store the rotation, how would i calculate the cameras look at direction from this information? I thought i could calculate the Look at vector from the View matrix im just having difficulty seeing how.
