Little DX10 State Question

Hello, in my app I have written: pd3dDevice->RSSetState(NULL); I thought this statement sets the current rasterizer state to the default state, but If I look at the rasterizer values it seems that this statement simply does nothing (all old values stay the same). According to the documentation of ID3D10Device::OMSetBlendState, passing NULL as the state resets to the default state: "Passing in NULL implies a default blend state". I am assuming that this rule (passing NULL = reset to default) applies to ALL SetState Functions. Thats why im a little bit confused that my statement doesnt change anything. Anyone got an idea?
