OpenGL Rendering from position/orientation

I represent my objects position/orientation with a vector3 and a quaternion. Upon rendering the vector3 and quaternion are converted to matrices and multiplied together. Then the transpose (because I store in row major) and sent to opengl. The objects are then rendered with the correct position/orientation on screen. What I want to be able to do is render the scene from that objects location/orientation.
