Since Qt4 now runs natively on both windows and linux i was wondering if it could be a good game devellopement library to replace for example SDL. Qt4 has support for OpenGL like SDL. Qt4 can natively make opengl compatible textures out of images unlike SDL. Qt4 can be used to make a game lobby or such very fast with Qt designer. Qt4 can be used for networking The only thing it cant do is sound as far as I know. Also i suppose you cant use Qt widgets to build a gui inside a full screen OpenGL environment. Whats your input on this matter?

What is its actual rendering like? Support for OpenGL is only useful if you intend doing everything with it. Sound is a big thing too, I think. What about input, how's the event handling look? And joystick/gamepad handling?
