I'm looking to create a simulation of certain physics situations (such as the motion of a pendulum) using an openGL rendered 3D animation as part of the visual output. Currently I would just like to ask on the boards if anybody knows of some good resources to help me quickly (and simply might I add) set up a situation such as a dangling pendulum that is sensitive to inputs (such as those representing its current angle). EDIT: Also is it possible to have an openGL scene embedded in a window (as a frame seperate to other window data) how could such a scheme be implemented?

There are plenty of tutorials out there on the internet.
I don t know if you ll find exactly that situation but again, it is a matter of searching.

Yes, you can setup GL on any window you like.
