Hi All, I tried building the CustomUI sample of the November 2007 SDK, and got a linker error file <msctf.h> not found!, any ideas what this file is? Thanks, Atef Hashem

What Windows/Platform SDK version are you using? I'm not aware of the DXSDK taking out dependencies on any other SDK's...

Hi there,

same problem here. Could you solve it AHashem?

Edit: Ok solved it... Just removed every .cpp/.h and code containing IME specifics

Did you download the Platform SDK and follow These Steps? To do Win32 (And C++ DirectX) development, you need the Platform SDK, which is a sperate download.

The problem was, that I had no IME installed on my System.
For those who don't want to change the CustomGUI example, read this:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb174599(VS.85).aspx

These are the steps to install IME, then the example should work.
As edited in my previous post: I just deleted everything containing IME dependencies
