It seems to me, it isn't possible to open the executable file from project made by using DirectX 9.0 and VS if working directory for the executable is different from the location of the executable. Is there anything I can change ? I tried to send my project folder as zip file to somebody. But the person can't run the executable file at all. I guess there is something wrong I'm not aware of.

I may be completely wrong, but I think I know what you mean. When you run the program straight out of Visual Studio, things work fine, but when you go in and try to run the executable (say, through Windows Explorer), it doesn't work. This might have something to do with any other assets that you are loading in. You may notice that the exe is located in a folder such as:

ProjectName->Bin->x86->Debug->whatever.exe

Try moving it back into the "ProjectName" folder and running it from there (where "ProjectName" is the name of your Visual Studio project).

Give that a shot and see if it works for you.
