MetaSL language?

Now that Mental Images have released MetaSL I would like to ask about your opinion concerning marketability, game companies adoption and competion with Hlsl and Cgsl. After having download Mental Mill, in beta form, I have to admit that I had a good experience using the tool and MetaSL. What do you think?

It will be ignored unless it offers some great advantage to programmers over the other two you already mentioned. Why would a shop change to it unless it is in some way better? renderman has been open for a while now, and I don't see in gamedev studios using it.

You have a valid point there and that is what the people of Mental Images should worry about. Nevertheless the whole graph based approach is excellent, although other implementations of graphs based shaders exist.
