Hello, In my application I have a skydome that moves on the xz plane with the camera but is fixed on the y-axis. So the camera is always in the center of the skydome and just can fly down and up till he reaches the top of the dome. But I have one problem: To simulate a huge atmosphere I have to make my skydome relative big (so that he user can fly up very high) but then the boundary of the skydome gets visible: http://img441.imageshack.us/my.php?image=skyboxboundarywp8.png Is there any way to hide the bottom of the skydome (except stretching the terrain)?

Try using the color from the bottom line of the skydome texture for your background.
And you can try to use this same color for fog to blend your terrain into the backround.
