I'm running into a really weird issue with Visual Studio 2005 Professional at work. We have 3 machines on which VS2005 is installed, and on which is actively developed by 3 developers. We're using Subversion for source control. We are developing an application in C++ using MFC. Therefor, we often use the resource editor to create new dialogs/edit existing dialogs. However, once every while(This is pretty sporadic), the resource editor adds "" around 2 resources in the RC file. It are always the same resources. When this happens, the build process works fine. It compiles, it runs, except when doing a call to a COM interface. When doing a COM interface call, the entire application crashes with a runtime exception. Has anyone ever experienced this, and/or know how to fix it? Because it's getting really annoying, especially since I made a release build last friday and send that to a bunch of beta testers... Where? In the resource file? In the resource name? Can we see the resource file with these quotes pointed out?

What exception exactly? Sounds like you're not validating some input which is then getting passed to a COM method.
And what COM interface is it?
