I want to improve the accuracy of Shadow Map by the statement of sampler. How do I declare the values of "MinFilter" , "MagFilter" and "MipFilter"?(for best accuracy of approximation) Is the anisotropic filtering used to improve the accuracy of the approximation? And How to define the statements of the "anisotropic filtering" in sampler? texture ShadowMap0; sampler ShadowMapSamp0 = sampler_state { Texture = <ShadowMap0>; MinFilter = LINEAR; MagFilter = LINEAR; MipFilter = NONE; AddressU = Clamp; AddressV = Clamp; };

Accuracy depends on the number of bits per pixel.
It's better to use POINT filtering as some older hw won't like linear filtering.

I saw the paper of Adpative Shadow Maps.
It says that anisotropic filtering is used to improve the accuracy of the approximation. I doubt it.
