Looking for some isometric art help

I'm trying to import some artwork for a 2D tile based isomatric game. I'm having a problem with larger art objects to represent items on the game map. They need to be sliced up a certain way, otherwise the object appears to sink into the game map. I'm looking for either a utility that will slice large images correctly, or the math that will do the same so I can write my own utility. Examples of a map tile for the game: Some tutorials, unfortunately not in English but should give you an idea of the isometry used and how the images need to be cut up: Can anyone help me out? Even a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this manually using paintshop pro or photoshop would help. Thanks, HR
