Is it common to move the skybox/sphere along with the camera, or are there other ways used to make it appear more natural? (With a staticly positioned box looking quite cheap and all)

As I understand it, skyboxes/spheres are usually rendered relative to the camera position (that is, although the orientation of the skybox/sphere reflects the camera orientation, the skybox/sphere is always positioned such that the camera lies at its exact center).

I render mine with only a rotation transform with the depth buffer turned off. (Normaly a box 1x1x1). Then I switch the depth bufer and render the scene normally. Find it looks better like that.
