I understand that you are fond of forums. I remember at least two similar threads you have made announcing your forums. Have you ever thought about why people visit forums (rather than own them)? Does your site fulfil the same things that the visitors want?

The membership of gamedev.net are here for a reason. You have yet to give any clear reasons for visiting your site, over gamedev.net itself. If you can think of any, list them. If not, can you figure a way to add some to your site?

And yet your signature says "
my forum for programming/video games/graphic development".

Besides there are thousands of forms that have been up for years that cover general programming of all sorts and have professionals there to answer your questions.

You have to ask yourself why would people want to leave this site and come to mine. what does my site have to offer that this one doesn't.

The answer as of right now is a big fat nothing.

And even tho is use firefox i still don't like going to sites that have forced banners. so i would never join your forum, sorry.

Poaching users from other forums is considered to be in very bad taste.

Additionally, I can't think of anything less interesting than a completely unfocused "general" programming forum.

I scanned a few posts there...

Aside from 67% of the posts being from you, the main thing that struck me was that the posts in your forum displayed little advanced knowledge and in some cases gave factually wrong answers. I don't think a forum where the blind lead the blind is a particularly useful entity.

Suggestions:
- You need more people, you won't get that by just throwing a forum on the net and spamming other forums with adverts. Realistically to make this sort of thing fly you'd either need an established group of people, or to evolve it out of a more specific forum.
- You need a number of knowledgeable people so that you aren't misleading people.
- You need a decent webhost (come on, they aren't that expensive).
