D3DXMatrixTransformation2D alternative for DirectX 8?

Hey, I have some code for DirectX 9 using D3DXMatrixTransformation2D, however, i want to use this on DirectX 8. Is there a similar function? Or some code i can use to mimic its functionality? Cheers

Call D3DXMatrixTransformation, passing your rotation in as a Z rotation D3DXQuaternionRotationYawPitchRoll(0, 0, rot), and padding a 0 into the Z for scale and translation (X, Y, 0).

You will then manually move row 4 to row 3 for translation to work (ie: mat._31 = mat._41; mat._32 = mat._42; )

Probably best to just make your own call to wrap all that work.
