Oval Drawing algorithm

I am writing a 2D Graphics library for a graphics processor. My current requirement is to write an API for drawing a oval. Here the parameter is the rectangle(with left,top,right,bottom) which is bounding the oval. As the center coordinates are not passed as parameter, I cannot use midpoint ellipse algorithm.Moreover when I tried to implement the midpoint algorithm,there were some accuracy issues in the rendering. Most of ellipse drawing algorithms uses center points as one of parameters for drawing. Then Somebody suggested to use the logic used in standard libraries (MFC,Java2D) for Drawing Oval.After several attempts,I could not get the logic. Any suggestions. RR
