Is there a way to render resolution independent 3d splines (without converting it to a mesh), e.g. by using pixel/vertex shaders?

Why not look at the many opengl and direct3d spline implementations online? It'd be pretty much the same in Xna.

You don't need to use a mesh: Xna has all the low level stuff necessary to render things yourself (vertex buffers, draw methods, etc).

By mesh I mean primitives. I know how to render a spline by drawing line segments.. I was thinking about something resolution independent like this: Curvy Blues (but 3d splines).
