As you read, Xna does not support vs.net 2008.

You could still use it in a limited way, with no access to the content pipeline.
Visual Studio 2008 support will come with XNA Game Studio 3.0:

A preview release of XNA Game Studio 3.0 will be available in the Spring 2008 timeframe, with a final release scheduled for the holiday 2008 season.

Q: Will XNA Game Studio 3.0 work with Visual Studio 2008?

A: Yes, XNA Game Studio 3.0 will only work with Visual Studio 2008 and Express 2008 SKUs.

Yeah I accidently upgraded some of my XNA programs to VS 2008 since I have VS2005/2008 installed and now they don't compile!
And they were simple XNA apps so no it definitely doesn't work.
Forgot that VS2008 +XNA don't mix yet!

ROFL, VS2008 came out right after XNA 2.0 finally got support for VS2005. VS2009 will probably come out by the time XNA 3.0 has support for 2008. :(
