Ageia PhysX Melting/Freezing Fluids

Hi, maybe someone has a hint or solution for me. I am currently working with PhysX from Ageia. On there webseite you can see some short movies with fluid simulation(Melting bunny, freezing fluid). How is it possible to "freeze" the fluid particles like in the second example ? For particle collission it has to be the same fluid, the bunny in example one seems to behaves like a softbody. Does anyone have an idea how they realized this? In the PhysX SDK i haven't found something like this.
