Ageia PhysX Melting/Freezing Fluids

Hi, maybe someone has a hint or solution for me. I am currently working with PhysX from Ageia. On there webseite http://www.ageia.com/developers/index.html you can see some short movies with fluid simulation(Melting bunny, freezing fluid). How is it possible to "freeze" the fluid particles like in the second example ? For particle collission it has to be the same fluid, the bunny in example one seems to behaves like a softbody. Does anyone have an idea how they realized this? In the PhysX SDK i haven't found something like this.
