OpenGL 2D fonts with visual studio 2005 (vb.net or c#)

Recommended Posts

Hello to all, this is an urgent MAYDAY call to all OpenGL-Specialists in this world... I'm a expirienced VB programmer but graphical interface newbee. I got an order to rewrite a litte Application in .Net, former based at OpenGL code. It's an radar-scope like application to show flight and airspace-data on a 2D screen. I'v got all the lines and objects to appear on the screen very nice within 2 days. But now - after googleing and reading all articles in the net - i spent 2 weeks and i can't get the (sorry, damned) textlabels on the display. Which approach you would prefer? I tried wglUseFontBitmaps, read about freenet, tested GlFonts2, but in the best case i had a blank screen. Does anybody got an vb.net (c# would be nice too) example code, wich i can take over as basecode? If you look at NeHe Lesson 13.2 - this is just that what i need, but the code samples are too old, the newest vb code was vb 6.0, i gut it to run, but it only shows a blank screen. Thanks in advance to all members and greetings from Germany Robert Krüger
