Hi, I am just starting with GLSL, and I came across a problem: not all the objects in my scene have got a texture. Still, the fragment shader always calculates the texture color:
texture2D(tex1,gl_TexCoord[0].st);
How can I check if I should draw the texture?

You don't; instead you have a second fragment shader which doesn't use a texture, you bind the texture one and draw all the objects which need texture and then you bind the non-textured one and draw all the objects which don't need textures.
