SoftImage XSI Mod Tool(Resolved)
I was looking at another post and it was suggested that
the poster get the mod tool to edit his .X files. I need
to do that myself, the only thing is is that the tool is
free for non-commercial use. I did't download it yet because
of the size so I don't what the agreement would intail.Maybe
someone who uses the tool can help me with this question:
Can I edit my own existing .X files using the mod tool for
use in a commercial game?
Thanks
Steve

You can use the mod tool to mod an existing commercial game; you cannot sell the models you make, nor can you sell the product you use the models in. Basically, if you're going to be making money off what you're doing with it, you can't use it for that.
Your wording was a bit ambiguous as to whether or not you are making your own commercial game (can't use the mod tool) or putting models into a commercial game you already bought (perfectly fine so long as you do not resell your mod).

I'm making my own commercial game. I'll use something else.
I have deled,3dworldstudio,and blender. I'll see what I can
manage with those tools. I havent used them in a while because
I was working with opengl and didn't have a need for the .x files.
I just switched back to directx and have a game made that is fully
functional and now it's time to finish it.
Thanks
Steve
