I have a built-in sound chip and I was just wondering how to get it to run Drakan properly.

I tried downloading the latest driver from the manufacturer but it is still not directx compatible. Is there any thing else I can do. The game runs for a while then after a few minutes it just stops (hangs)

Pls. can anyone help.

I use a 3d accel. card. ( Magic 3D 2 which uses a Voodoo 2)
Turning the sound opetion off seems to work.
But its not the same.

_ Sounds like you'll need to disable the on-board sound, if possible, and install a sound card. Check the manufacturer's site to see if and how you can disable it.
- As for a sound card with DirectSound acceleration, I suggest a Yamaha X-Wave 192. It works and it's usually found for under $20.
