Using VS2005, I changed the "Working Directory" setting inside Configuration Properties -> Debugging so that it points to a folder named "bin". This setting does not get saved in the expected .vcproj file. Instead it gets saved in some crazy .user file which is different for each user. What's worse, it's also different for each *computer*. The naming scheme is something like Project.vcproj.MY-COMPUTER-NAME.MY-USER-NAME.User. Yikes. The problem is, of course, that I'm working with a team and were all using this same project file. Hence we all need to use the same options file. What I would like to do is have VS2005 save a generic options file (ie, Project.vcproj.user), that's not specific to any one user or machine. Possible?
