Audio programming

Does anybody know of any good resources for learning how to program audio, whether it be books or online tutorials/articles? Specifically, I am not looking for resources on how to program using any existing audio APIs, be it Direct Audio, Open AL or whatever. I'm looking for things that explain how to generate and manipulate waveforms from the ground up, starting with simple oscillators and moving into filters and I don't know what else. I'm not interested in replacing an audio library with my own, I just want to learn some new stuff and polish up my maths a bit and see whats out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated. s.

Fourier transformates will be a useful tool to transform the sound between different domains. FFTW is a free librarz to perform fast fourier transforms...
