Hi everyone, I'm asking myself if is useful to divide the static meshes (like great buildings) to performance reason, or is more suitable to scale only the details of the same! The question is linked with the dualism static vs dynamic and which spatial partition structure is good to use... Thanks to all!

Benchmark first, then optimize. :)

Also, it depends on how your graphics-card would want its data.

It's not a question of benchmark...it is only a question if when doing spatial sorting, occlusion and stuff like that I need to divide the meshes.
Imagine a city environment...do I need to divide geometry?
I think that geometry can be divided on a material basis, right?

Thanks!
