OpenGL matrix palette skinning equivalent

I think this is what you want
http://www.opengl.org/registry/specs/ARB/matrix_palette.txt
and
http://www.opengl.org/registry/specs/ARB/vertex_blend.txt

and both are on
http://www.opengl.org/registry/

but they are too old. Use shaders instead.
