I'm linking the lib, but the linker still reports missing externals.

I'm trying to make a jpeg loader, i downloaded the libjpg source from the net, i tell the linker to link the static library, but it still gives me a missing link error? I don't understand since the linker seems to find the library ... I even tried to rebuild the static library, no success :( error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "void __cdecl jpeg_stdio_src(struct jpeg_decompress_struct *,struct _iobuf *)" (?jpeg_stdio_src@@YAXPAUjpeg_decompress_struct@@PAU_iobuf@@@Z) referenced in function "bool __cdecl Load_JPG_Image(char *,int &,int &,char * &)" (?Load_JPG_Image@@YA_NPADAAH1AAPAD@Z) main_img.obj Help appreciated, Thanks in advance!
