gdi+ and c#

Think about the classes you need. Create a card class. Create a board class that has an array of cards. When the user clicks you have to determine the card beneath the mouse. When a pair is matched you have to remove the cards from the board. You might keep track of the number of pairs removed. You have to pause after a false match so the user can see the cards.

Depends on your experience, but since you said GDI, I thought you were thinking about graphics.

Making picture graphics are work though, so you might use colored shapes to match.
