Here is a recent website about music theory with a nice presentation: http://academic.udayton.edu/tobyrush/theorypages/index.html. It is not perfect but it can be nice for people with a poor background in music theory.

This site is quite interesting, the way they talk about the theory with some humor is great, even more for people entering the music theory.
