from what i can see im talking about UT2003/UT2004/UT3 theres heaps of quake2/3/doom info/loaders out there but from my searching this morning i cant find anything about UT. i wanna display some nicer looking models in my game (as placeholders) i ideally want a model format thats skinned eg doom3 or the UT ones. the problem with the doom3 one is noone seems to make models for it, unlike quake2/3 or UT2003/2004 cheers zed

I remember there's an open source unreal level editor called Ushock which works just fine... with maps. Maybe it does load models as well, I've never looked at it in detail. Try looking it up in sourceforge, and maybe tell me if this comes useful.

Did you also see the big sign on the front page pointing to the old site?

Actually, Unreal Tournament's source was released publicly... Though their license seems very restrictive ("All files contained here are the property of Epic Games, Inc. They are provided without warranty, and under the same terms as the Unreal retail license agreement: You may use them for your personal, non-profit enjoyment, but you may not sell or otherwise commercially exploit the source or things you created based on the source.")

Everything you need to know about the model format is in there... But you're not allowed to use that knowledge :P
