Hello, Some months ago I've started my spacesim project called Simerge. It will be a mixed genre game settled between "X3 Reunion" and "EOC: Independance war 2". It already has the huge world configuration as EOC does. But additionally the player will able to land on planets. The gameplay will have much common elements with X3 (freeform flight, trading, building, combats).
