Helper geometries
Hi guys,
here again to ask you a simple question...
I'm having some problems with my engine, and I want to have extra info on the scene during my renderings. I want to print normals of all vertexes, of the faces,
visualize the bounding boxes of the objects, stuff like that!
I call them 'helper geometries', but I don't know if this is the name.
How do you render them?
Again...thanks guys!
I call this debug geometries (but dunno, if anyone else is calling them this-like). Anyway dunno which api are u using - OpenGL or Direct3D?
In opengl it's quite simple - you'll use GL_LINES token for vertex-buffers or in glBegin/glEnd legacy functions.
In D3D it's not much harder - i'll give a link rather than write long how-to (using ID3DXLine) http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb174016(VS.85).aspx
