Game Structure, howto control states and effects?
hi everyone,
i've been looking around on the net for some kind of code which will help me to structure my game and to control game-effects and in-game timing.
I`ve already integrated a Game State Structur to switch between main states like Intro, Menu, Game,...
I read this article -> http://www.gamedev.net/reference/articles/article1294.asp
and think that this will serve my needs. But it is not possible for me to implement this without any code examples.
Since I am new to game programming, I would be really thankful if someone could push me in the right direction. Maybe there is also another solution or someone could post an example.
I'm using C++ and the HGE Engine (DirectX).
