Anyone know of a good book or online resource that contains a list of design patterns (singleton, factory, etc.) that are good for game design?

Any book on design patterns will suffice. Design patterns are part of software development, and games are just software.

That you want a book on how they should be applied to games specifically suggests that you are viewing the problem from the wrong end. Design patterns are simply common solutions that have arisen over time. It's incorrect to look for places to apply them -- you'd be trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

Instead, simply be aware of them (which you can get from any old design patterns book). They are tools in your toolbox. When you have a problem, then consider if a solution that is similar to a well-known pattern is warranted.
