Hi, I am trying to scale a cluster of selected vertices on an object, say a sphere. When I perform a scale using D3DXVec3Scale, the scale works fine if the selectd vertices are located around the lateral centre of the object. Polar selections also work fine, as long as the object is centred. But if I select vertices that are not centred then the scale is not symetrical with the selected vertices. Should I be looking at using D3DXPlaneScale ?

What do mean by "centered?"

Also, how do you want to scale them? With respect to the center of the sphere? With respect to the origin? With respect to some average position (weighted average? geometric average?) of the cluster?
