Fastest way to create texture with Bitmap

hello in my application i must change my texture, but it is very important when i want to change my texture it take very few secounds(or miliseconds). if i use : Bitmap bmp = ... Texture.FromBitmap(device, bmp, Usage.None, Pool.Managed); it take about 2~3 Secound, and it is very bad. my bmp is as larg as full screen area.

Texture.FromBitmap is very slow when debugging from Visual Studio, so you might want to try running the compiled exe standalone. See this page for more information.

Another idea would be to preload the texture when the app starts, so the delay isn't that noticable for the user. I don't know if that fits your scenario though.
