[java] Game Applet, i need orientation please.

Hi all, I have written some simple games in j2me, but i want to write a simple 2d game (fighting). But i need some orientation, i mean: I've been reading a lot and i have a mess in my head, that's - Animate Sprites with clipping. - Should i use a keylistener or keybindings - ActionListener? As you can see i'm confused hehe. Suggestions are appreciated thank you!.

If you don't understand the basics (nothing wrong with that), I think it's better not to use any libraries that do all the work for you.

* Animating sprites with clipping?

I've never heard of it :| I always use an array of images and a while loop in another thread that animates all the stuff. Is much simpler I think and works fine.

* KeyListener or keybindings

I think keybindings are used for GUI classes of Swing. I don't no if you can use them to activate e.g. an ActionListener without a Swing menu. However, if that would be possible, I would still use a KeyListener, which is actually much simpler.

* ActionListener?

I don't know what you mean with that :?
