Hi, I'm a little confused about the what the relationship is between AGP memory and the 4K sized pages that are dynamically allocated when you run out of local video memory. From what I understand, AGP is a contiguous block of memory that is reserved but not utilized write away. The GART provides a mapping between that and 4k pages that are scattered about main memory. Does that mean there are two copies of say a texture? One in the AGP and another scattered about elsewhere in RAM?

The AGP /aperture/ is not a contigous block of memory - it is a block of contiguous address space. So no, there is only one copy of the graphics resources in system memory.
