Small Problem with XNA texture being to dimm when defaultlighting is on

Hello, I'm having this problem with this texture in XNA 2.0 that has white lines on it. When I enable the defualtlighting command, it goes dark, the white is a dark grey and all the colors are darker:( (using 3ds max design 2009) Anyone ever run into this and know of a fix? I'm kinda new to working with the lights in XNA. Also, Is there source code for a adjustable on the fly lighting function? so one could adjust the lighting in game? just checking figured someone would have done this(else I'm going to, lol) Thanks for your time, peace MajSlayer
