Create rendertarget from Bitmap?

I want to create a render target from a bitmap. Is that possible? I get errors trying Texture.FromBitmap and the Texture constructor methods. TIA, Devin

I dont think you can but I think you can create a render target and then copy a bitmap in to it. I don't really understand what your trying to do because a render target is probably going to get cleared before you render to it so you will lose your bitmap image. If you looking to render (with blending) over the bitmap then it is probably best to use the bitmap as a texture input and render to a seperate (output) render target.
