Hey all - I was wondering what, is the best recommended OpenGL Game Engine(Commercial or Free). We were going to with Torque, but then we thought it was better to do more research. It was mentioned Orge and Crystal Space are decent but... I think it is better to safely gather a larger view point yeah?

I'm a fan of Horde3d personally. It's only a graphics engine though (same as Ogre), it leaves sound, physics, networking, game-logic, etc up to you.

[EDIT] Horde is "next-gen" in that it is entirely shader-based though. So you're limited to SM2 hardware or newer.

I've heard Irrlicht is pretty good, it's a game engine with everything you would need: http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/

Yeah, my computer couldn't run Horde3D either lol.
