anyone know how to get investors to fund a F2P game like maple story but with options to upgrade accounts and purchase new characters/items? Thats how the game will make money.

First you will need a proven track record making hit games.
Second you (or a partner) will need a track record running a business.
Third you will need a business plan which details how you will make the game, run the business and an exit plan that gives the investor a return of 300-500% on their initial investment within 5-8 years.
Fourth you will need a working demo.

If you don't have the above then a loan from friends, family or a fool. I would also suggest a bank loan secured against your home but in the current credit crunch even having your home as security may not be enough to get a bank to lend money on such a high risk venture.

Not many of them about I'm afraid. The trouble with Fools is that very quickly learn from getting stung and become Smart.... or else they go bust.
